Peace and beauty. An interview with Jeanne Braa Foster

Tyler Kroning HeadshotBack in the 1980s, Jeanne Braa, was a platform artist, working on stage with Paul Mitchell, co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems. By 1989, the year Mitchell died from cancer, she became artistic director for the iconic hair care line where she helped create some of the company’s most renowned products. Through it all, she adhered to three philosophies: the art of hair, the spirit of joy, and the business of success.

On a recent Radio AMB podcast, Patty Schmucker and Jeanne will talk about how she got started, how she decided to retire at age 50, how she got married at 53, and how her brand is joy. Jeanne and her husband Dr. Dean Foster, a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has recently decided to focus on wellness and helping those who serve the sick, have learned how to live a life that sustains them.

Listen to the podcast to hear how beauty leads to peace and how peace leads to joy. It’s a mindset that is critical for people in the people business. People like hairdressers.
